Oops!
I’ve been very busy lately and realized today that I haven’t updated this in so long!
I promised myself as one of my new year’s resolutions, that I would continue to blog and I can’t fail now! I cannot believe how fast February has gone, and how much I want spring to come. I really wish we had that snowstorm that I’ve been craving for, but if I can’t have that then please bring on the warm weather so I can finally start wearing my Jacks again!
But anyhoo- here are some updates on what’ s been going on in my life / distracted me from blogging!
- Midterms season
- A close relative and my dog passed away
- Super busy weekends
- Sorority things
- I’m officially dating this sir.
But I’ve missed WordPress so I’m back!
Also – I would really really like to be here right now!

Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone!!
If you are from the DC area, enjoy the slight rise in temperature today! Perfect for dresses and tights!
Hope everyone has their pink and red out!

Valentine’s day
For the first time in awhile, I have plans for Valentine’s day. I am ecstatic. Immediately after establishing that I was doing something with a special someone, I started the hunt for a dress.
To be honest, he could take me to a McDonald’s and I would still wear a dress and be happy.
I wanted a simple but pretty dress. I also did not want to spend more than $50. After searching throughout Georgetown, I decided to shop around Metro Center during my lunch break. I finally found the dress at Forever 21, surprisingly. I’m not usually the biggest fan of Forever 21, but fell in love with this purple dress.

I am obsessed with bows, so I was very happy to come across this gem.
Best part? It was only $24.80! Talk about a bargain!
Now I can only hope that my Valentine’s Day will bring me the joy that these couples have!

Whether single or in a relationship, I hope everyone has a Happy Valentine’s Day!
Backpacks!
For awhile, I was opposed to carrying a backpack around campus to class because I felt like it would clash with my outfit. It has been said that my university’s campus is synonymous to a runway, so I would always pile things into one of my Longchamps and be set for the day. The thing about that though, is that it absolutely killed my back. What makes this worse is that I already have a bad back from cheerleading so a few days ago I decided I need to invest in a cute backpack that I can use daily. First thing that came to mind: Fjallraven Kanken! I have been in love with these backpacks since I first spotted my friend sporting it freshman year. I opted getting one in the standard size in Ice Blue because I thought it was time for a change from the usual pink! What’s your favorite Kanken color?

The one I purchased!

I can't wait to get it in the mail!

The Big Debate
Mind Vs. Heart
It’s an inevitable debate we all face even if we already know the answer.
It’s always heart over mind.
And sometimes we need to turn off all the doubts and fears in our heads and realize that worrying will do no one any good. If it’s meant to be, it will be but trying to fight how you feel won’t make it any easier.
What I’m trying to learn and do, is just sit back and let things run their course. Fate has its way with things, but I’ll leave that for another blog post.
“The Run In”
If you’re like me, every once in awhile you need to prepare yourself for “The Run In”. What is the “The Run In”? Well, you know when you haven’t seen someone of significance for a very long time and when you hear they’re back in town you prepare to run into them? And you know how you try to wear the cutest casual outfits you can find in your closets, so that when you see them, that other person will be impressed? Well that moment – that momentous moment when it actually happens is “The Run In“. Maybe this has happened to you when someone you used to date was in town again, or an old friend who you don’t talk to anymore but still remain civil with was back in the area. Whatever the situation may be, we’ve all had the “The Run In”.
So here are some examples of what one could wear to prepare herself for the scary yet exciting moment!

Winter Break is officially over :(
My feelings about break vary but I can honestly say I did not want to go back to school! This winter break was the best winter break I’ve had yet! I did more than I ever imagined: Traveled to places I’ve never been before, spent time with people I initially didn’t think I would have a chance to see, and just had an amazing time with family and friends. Although my winter break was long, I wish my university’s other breaks were longer – we don’t have a fall break and spring break goes by so fast! But no need to dwell in the past – time to look forward to a brand new semester! Today was the first day of classes and right now the weather is almost 60 degrees! I’m in my third year into college and it’s still a bit strange to transition from break into a new semester.
Okay – maybe I’ll dwell a little bit longer. Here’s a preview of some of things I did over break!

I had a slumber party with three of my best friends! (No, you can never be too old for slumber parties)
It was wonderful and I don’t regret one minute of it.
